What is the What : Chapters 12- ending

I defiantly like this book, better than some of the other books I've had to read for school over the years. The book drags on a little in some parts, then you remember that it was based off of some one's live, then your right back in it. I think I actually smiled when I read about him getting into college and setting up an aid group. Pretty amazing. It defiantly gives people hope about fixing the problems in their lives reading about a person overcoming so many hardships. It was a very interesting topic and an inspiring book, once you get over the bad situations the main character gets in. Now on to the next book, 1984.

What is the What: Chapters 1-12

At first when I started to read this book I thought that I I wouldn't like it. I mean the dude gets robbed in the first two pages of the book. I thought," Aww, not another depressing book." However, I was pretty surprised that I started wanting to find out what was going to happen next. So, as the story goes on and he starts to tell the story of his escape from civil war, it got really interesting. It was cool to see how different the cultures are. Especially, when I read about the bike, when they didn't know if they should unwrap it or not. I heard from other people that this book was boring, but I found out that once you start to really put yourself in the character's shoes and see it from their point of view, you almost don't want to stop reading.

End of How to read lit...

So this book certainly was interesting. Covered a lot of subjects. Few were echos of what past teachers said. Others were things I didn't even think of looking for in a book. I like how the author not only quoted good books, but also explained what was going on in the books so we could understand what he was trying to explain. In all, the book was good. It did tend to drag on a little. I wounder what the other books are going to be like.

How to read lit like a professor. Chapters 1-6

This book is definitely a different book. I like chapter three the best so far. I guess it's just because I like reading horror books and it let me see the stories in a new light. I like how the book shows how to see the patterns that all books have in common. I'm interested in how reading this particular book will affect the way I read other books to come.
